Overview
New Super Marisa Land is the 2010 sequel to Super Marisa Land. It repurposes Touhou characters as platformer characters in a side-scrolling game not unlike Super Mario Bros.. Specifically, it behaves similarly to Super Mario Land, with its bouncing fireball power-up.
The player, as the witch Marisa, causes an explosion when cooking some magical mushrooms and sends them flying across the forest. She must rush around to recover them, avoiding various other Touhou characters along the way.
The game was developed by Doujin (Indie) studio Twilight Frontier, which often creates works based on other properties.
