    The third annual PAX South, the twenty-seventh PAX overall, took place at the newly renovated Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

    The guest speaker for the traditional "Storytime Session" (opening keynote) was Wizards of the Coast game designer, Chris Perkins.

    Registration & Attendance

    Registration for PAX South 2017 began on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM CDT.

    The Omegathon

    The Omegathon is a tournament held at PAX that pits 20 randomly selected attendees in a three day marathon of games that span the spectrum of the gaming universe. After each round, some participants are eliminated. Each year, the final game is held secret until moments before the final two Omeganauts enter battle. The winner at PAX South receives a trip to any other PAX in the following year's time.
