    When EA acquired Westwood Studios and eventually dissolved the brand, merging it into EA Los Angeles, a number of employees were against the decision and quit the company. Those employees went on to form Petroglyph Games, a developer of Real Time Strategy games.
     
    Petroglyph is primarily known for their experience in RTS game development as the company's founding members worked on Command & Conquer and Dune II.
