lol, dude that reminded me of the simpsons episode when they did that song. makes me laugh everytime someone mentions it because i can't help but be reminded of that one simpsons episode.

I used to eat a lot of Blondie's in Berkeley but damn, that isn't "good" pizza by any means.

I'll agree about Zachary's, but if you really like deep dish, I like Little Star on Divisadero even better. Phenomenal stuff. I think there's a new location in the Mission too.

i would say give Amici's a try too.  i always heard about them on the razor and mr t show and wondered what all the hub bub was about.  finally got a chance to try it and it was really good.  they don't have any on the east bay so you're going to have to get yourself on the pennisula.  there's one in redwood shores right next to EA.

Petaluma's got a place called Old Chicago Pizza that'll do thick-ass double crust pizzas that can and will totally end you if you're not careful. Definitely has the whole "meat pie" thing going on.

Oh... now you guys are depressing me. I have to start school next week in SF and now your telling me their pizza sucks?! How am I supposed to go to school there now?

But yeah, Brad's right, most SF pizza is weak. I prefer the national chains to most of what you can get delivered in SF.

If you're ever on the peninsula, I really like the pizza at Rainbow Pizza in Belmont. They have an awesome Greek pizza (it's a Greek pizza joint, so they have both pizzas and a bunch of traditional Greek stuff).

Take 280 south, get off on 92 east and take the first exit. Go right and it's on the right next to Safeway.

And their pizzas are huge. Give it a try sometime.
