GOTY 2021

2021 was a strange year for everyone. Being an "essential worker" in telcom (fiber optic splicer) my work life just went on as usual ..until I got a case of COVID (symptomless) and had to quarantine so that was a bit of free gaming time. So once again, there are many games I haven't gotten to and the ones on this list are the games that captured much of my (too little) free gaming time. I'm also coming to notice that I'm playing alot of games that came out before 2021 in 2021. Guess that's just a natural consequence of gamepass for PC.. Also played a ton of Borderlands with my wife (she loves co-op) and had a lot of fun with that especially the Tiny Tina's D&D expansion.. Looking forward to the new Borderlands D&D game..

  • Played through once. So much fun! Started new game plus but got sidetracked. Definitely on the list of need to revisit. Looking forward to more RE games for the first time in a long time. Love what they've done with the "Reboot" of the series.

  • What a great game. I think I didn't beat the end end boss.. But I'll probably loop back around to it..

  • Oct 2020 was the PC release date but it came to game pass (and my heart) in Sept 2021. It's a rougelike with a variety of weapons and powers that unlock as you play the game. It has a cool art style that reminds me of the show Disenchantment. I put in the most time on this game in the last part of 2021 and it knocked me off of Far Cry 6 and DRAGON QUEST XI S.

  • Did I finish it? No.. Did I "finish" any Far Cry game? Nope. But I do enjoy them while I'm playing them. And Guapo is so cool.

  • Finally got this on sale and have been loving it through the end of 2021 and into 2022.

  • Another 2020 game that came to gamepass in 2021. I didn't finish it (it's hard as balls) but I did see Lovetown and that's thing..

  • Release dates are wonky. If it was new to me, steam, xbox pc... I'm calling it a 2021 game. When I saw Rorie play this on UPF I knew I'd be putting some time into it.. I guess I'm into card games.. and roguelike games.. and roguelike card games!

  • ..speaking of roguelike deckbuilding games.. Griftlands is pretty cool.

    The full version of the game was released for Windows June 1, 2021

  • 2020 game, but I played the hell out of it in 2021. Gotta get there and place the next track.... aww I was so close to the next station.. well how about just one more run?..

  • A game that came out in 2021!? And I actually finished it!?? Wow.. ok it's short, but I had fun with my time with it.. (Becks is super annoying though.)
