Random Games I've Played (2022)

Total Games Finished: 24

List items

  • Platform: Xbox Series S (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Farewell Edition

    - Finished (01/02/22)

    - One of my new favorites. I started it late last year and was hooked. It gets a little tedious at times but I still loved it.

  • Platform: Switch (Digital)

    - Finished (01/26/22)

    - The first game I played on my new Switch OLED. A beautiful game with really nice story.

  • Platform: Switch (Physical)

    - Played (01/03/22)

    - This was a gift from Christmas. It's actually pretty fun. I'm not that great at some of the subjects, specifically math, but I still managed to unlock a good amount.

  • Platform: Switch (Digital)

    - Played (01/11/22)

    - When my Animal Crossing Switch stopped working late last year, it took my island, Eagle Isle, with it. I started a new Island, El Tigre, but it's just not the same. Going through the early game again just isn't something I want to do despite really enjoying the game in 2020. Oh well.

  • Platform: PS4 (Digital)

    - Final Cut Edition

    - Played (02/07/22)

    - I mainly wanted to see if the loading times were really improved since the last time I played it. They are much better now. I'll get to this at some point.

  • Platform: Xbox Series S (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Hitman Trilogy Edition

    - Finished (02/13/22)

    - I played and really enjoyed Hitman 3 last year on the PS4 and had been looking to go back and play the first two. However, I found the options to but the first 2 kind of confusing. Thankfully, they came to Game Pass. The first is great and just as good as the third. Each level is really fun and clever.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Reached Hall of Fame (02/24/22)

    - Finally, got a Series X and this was the first game I played. I'm not big into racing games but this was fun. A lot of bars being filled up for everything. Ironically, I think the barn finds were my favorite thing to do. Ha.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Digital)

    - Played (02/26/22)

    - I got this game as part of a bundle with the Series X and another controller. In hindsight I probably should've chosen another game. I've never really been into From Software's games and this is no exception. I can see why it's well loved from the couple hours I put into it but it's just not for me. I may give it another go down the line.

  • Platform: PS5 (Digital)

    - Finished (03/04/22)

    - I secured a Digital Edition PS5 from Walmart and this freebie was a great introduction to the Dualsense controller.

  • Platform: PS5 (Digital)

    - Finished (03/18/22)

    - I bought this at release and played about 12 hours on the PS4 before moving on. It came with a free upgrade to the PS5 version and I remebered liking the combat so I decided to start over. It's a decent game. I actually really liked the art style but the gamplay loop just wore me out. I got sick of the vaults well before the end.

  • Platform: PS5 (Digital)

    - Played (03/19/22)

    - Another game I bought for the PS4 but never really played. I didn't get much further this time.

  • Platform: Switch (Physical)

    - Played (03/24/22)

    - I haven't played much but decided to play some minigames both by myself and with a family member while waiting for Kirby and the Forgotten Land to release.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Digital)

    - Played (03/24/22)

    - I'm back because of the no building mode. It's pretty fun. I'm still terrible at it but enjoyable.

    - Placed 6th with 2 elims

  • Platform: Switch (Digital)

    - 03/25/22

    - I've played through two of the worlds and so far I'm enjoying it. The co-op is lacking but it's not too bad.

    - Finished (06/16/22)

    - I took a long break inbetween World 2 and 3 but when I got back to playing this was a lot of fun. Just a really great game and I'm happy I came back to it.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game PAss Ultimate)

    - Finished (03/26/22)

    - I like these narrative focused games a lot but this one didn't do much for me. I couldn't get into it.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Finished (04/11/22)

    - I wanted to play this last year but never got around to it. When it appeared on Game Pass I downloaded immediately. What a fun game.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Played (03/27/22)

    - Seems like a decent game. I found the writing for the characters a little annoying so I don't know if I'll play any more.

  • Platform(s): Switch & Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Digital Deluxe Edition (Switch)

    - Played (04/01/22)

    - I got way into Diamond Dynasty last year in 21 and I'm sucked in again this year.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Played (04/05/22)

    - Played through Act 1. That's probably where I'll leave it. The story and reveals in the beginning of Act 2 weren't interesting to me.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Finished (04/23/22)

    - Another game I wanted to play from last year. The original Life is Strange game wrecked me but this game was pretty good. I liked the main character and the story was alright.

  • Platform: PS5 (Digital)

    - NWO 4-Life Edition

    - Played (04/27/22)

    - I'm weak when it comes to these wrestling games. This one's definitely better than 2k20 but that's a real low bar. I've played a few matches in Showcase and random singles but I don't know how I feel about the gameplay. It still feels a little off.

  • Platform: Switch (Digital)

    - Played (04/29/22)

    - I forgot this was coming out but I loved the original Wii Sports so I'll give this a try. I've played at least one match in each of the sports and they all seem pretty good. My least favorite is probably Soccer while my favorite is Bowling. No surprise there. The online seems alright. I don't know about the unlocks and progression though. You get items for every 100 pts you accumulate but you can only do that online. I've played a little with the family in local play and that was fun.

  • Platform: PS4 (Played on PS5) (Digital)

    - Finished (05/08/22)

    - I enjoyed this game when I played it on PC in 2019 and always considered picking it up when it came to consoles. It's a cheesy little romance visual novel. I went with QueenBee, the competitive gamer the first time through. This time I went with Naomi and had a good time again. The sequel comes out on the 27th so I'll probably pick that up at some time this summer.

  • Platform: PS4 (Played on PS5) (Digital)

    - Started (05/14/22)

    - Finished (06/09/22)

    - Wow. This took a lot longer than I thought. They really put these characters through the ringer. I don't know if I'd rank it higher than the first but I did play that about nine years ago so who knows. Still think this is a really great game though.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Physical Disc)

    - Started (06/20/22)

    - Played through Episode I and had a fun time.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Started (07/05/22)

    - Finished (07/11/22)

I went through the story mode solo using April and had a really great time with it. Might even buy it for the switch and play some co-op with the family. It looks like a fun time.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Free-to-play)

    - Started (07/14/22)

A game I've been eyeing but never tried became free a few weeks ago so I gave it a go. It's pretty fun. I played two solo shows and reached 3rd place on the second one.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Started (07/15/22)

    - Did the first job and it seems pretty relaxing so far.

  • Platform: iOS (Free-to-play)

    - Started (07/17/22)

My nephew really wanted me to be on Team Blue so I went for a walk with him and caught some Pokemon.

  • Platform: PS5 (PS Plus Extra)

    - Started (07/19/22)

Played about 2hrs so far and really digging it. I've heard it's short but that doesn't bother me.

    - Finished (07/21/22)

  • Platform: PC (Free)

    - Started (07/24/22)

    - This seems alright. I don't know how into it I'm going to get but I like the characters so far. I've mostly been playing with Shaggy and Wonder Woman. The stages, as of right now, seem pretty boring though.

  • Platform: Switch (Digital Bundle)

    - Started (07/25/22) (SonSon)

    - (08/01/22) (Savage Bees)

    - This was really an impulse buy before a trip. I thought I'd play more but so far not much.

  • Platform: PS5 (PS Plus Extra)

    - Started (08/02/22)

    - Finished (08/08/22)

    - I loved the first Spider-Man so this really hit the spot for me. I had been waiting to play until I got a PS5 and with it being a part of the PS Plus Extra tier. It was a no brainer. I had a really fun time.

  • Platform: PS5 (PS Plus Extra)

    - Ultimate Edition

    - Started (08/10/22)

    - Don't know if I'll finish this yet. My PS Plus Extra for the month is running out and I don't think I'm going to reup just to finish this. It seemed pretty cool though.

  • Platform: Switch (Digital)

    - Started (08/14/22)

    - This was another impulse buy. This wasn't even on my radar. Seeing some reviews randomly and wanting to get invested in a big game led me to buy it. I'm about 3 1/2 hrs in and enjoying it so far.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Digital)

    - Started (08/15/22)

    - Don't know if I'll actually buy this but I'm playing the trial and it's fun enough. Mainly playing Face of the Franchise though that's getting a little boring.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Started (08/31/22)

    - Finished (09/03/22)

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Started (09/06/22)

    - I've been looking forward to this since it was announced. Animal Crossing mixed with Disney sounds right up my alley. The "Free-to-Play" aspect was a red flag but so far it has been pretty fun. It definitely has the trappings of a "Free-to-Play" game but they aren't egregious yet. The energy system is the biggest annoyance so far but it's not a dealbreaker.

  • Platform: Switch (Digital)

    - Started (09/09/22)

    - My first time venturing into the Splatlands

    - Finished Single-player campaign on 09/16/22

  • Platform: PS5 (Digital)

    - Started (09/14/22)

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Digital)

    - Started (09/19/22)

  • Platform: PS5 (PS Plus Extra)

    - Started (10/04/22)

    - Finished (10/15/22)

    - Wanted to play something spooky for October and this was included in PS Plus Extra. It's not great. More annoying than scary. Those QTE's come outta nowhere in some spots.

  • Platform: PC (Steam)

    - Started (10/15/22)

    - Thought this would be better than it's been so far. The controls are really finicky. I like the idea of building bridges and different structures with LEGO but, man, so far, I'm not digging it.

  • Platform: PC (Steam)

    - Started (10/19/22)

    - Surprisingly pretty fun. I don't know how much more I'll play but this was a good time.

  • Platform: Xbox Series X (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

    - Started (10/20/22)

    - Very similar to the first but with more options at your disposal. The stories very grim and the characters make some bad decisions, but I suppose that makes sense given their situation and age.

    - Finished (11/12/22)

    - Finished it and ended up really liking it for the most part. The times where your forced to fight were kind-of a pain but I'm interested in seeing if we see any more of these games.

  • Platform: PS5 (Digital)

    - Started (10/29/22)

    - Finished (11/04/22)

    - Didn't know if I'd pick this up right away this year but I'm a sucker for the CoD campaigns. There nothing innovative or revolutionary but they're fun. This was no exception. I'm excited to hear there may be some campaign DLC released in the future.

  • Platform: Switch (Digital)

    - Started (10/29/22)

    - Never played the first game but I liked the look and sound of this sequel. I'm generally terrible at these types of strategy games and this one is no exception. Thankfully, at least so far, the game has been pretty forgiving in the difficulty department. A nice game to play in between all the serious and depressing games I've been playing.

  • Platform: PC (Digital)

    - Started (10/29/22)
