Nearing the end of an empty summer...

So recent June I just graduated, been working the entire summer and I haven't really had the time to hang out with my friends much, except for maybe a few modern warfare 2 matches during weekends. In terms of new releases, I guess the summer was pretty dry. However, there were few games I did enjoy during the summer. Around early July it was a lot of fun playing Red Dead Redemption and trying to get the 100%.
To those wondering, I am 18 and games like FF7 and Starcraft were huge when I was just a child. These games are a few of my brothers favourite games. I decided to try them out for myself. I've only just started FF7 a month ago and I am really taking my time with that one I haven't gotten far but I defiantely am enjoying it. However, Starcraft, the first one, I really loved. After playing through the first one (I found a cheap copy of both starcraft one and Brood War bundled together, and Starcraft 2 right above that shelf) I decided to buy Starcraft 2 as well from my local Gamestop and this game was just really well made, and I really loved the characters, even though I just started with this franchise I felt like I really stuck with them for a long time thanks to my playthrough of the first game.
Now I'm about to start my first year at post-secondary, and I've been playin the Metal Gear Solid series starting from MGS1 through to MGS4. Currently I am at MGS3 and I remembered just how much I really love this series. Especially the third installment due to hundreds of easter eggs, uniforms, facepaints to be found within it. It's weird, the next phase in life, but I found myself going backwards in terms of videogames.
The only game that actually really interests me this fall is LittleBigPlanet 2. Don't get me wrong I think there is definately a ton of quality titles coming such as Halo: Reach (I really enjoyed the beta), Medal of Honor (Also tried beta, pretty fun but it was definately a beta and thankfully DICE did address some of it's problems), Final Fantasy 14 (Currently playing the beta, my laptop is really struggling to play it but from what I've tried it definately has a Final Fantasy feel to it, I never played 11 but I am definately looking forward to this).
Then there are titles which I haven't had a taste of such as Call of Duty: Black Ops which looks great, and Assassins Creed Brotherhood, both the singleplayer and multiplayer really seems strong. Then there are the Move and Kinect hardware launch. Again, theses are all great products but there's just something about LittleBigPlanet 2 that really stands out to me above the rest.
I hope you've enjoyed reading through some-what of a retro gaming summer, and also keep in touch, I may review some of the games I mentioned above. If you haven't already, check out my other reviews as well such as Splinter Cell: Conviction in case you haven't tried that game out yourself.
I really hope that with videogames, I can still keep in contact with most of my friends that are moving are to live on campus at their respective universities. I'm definately afraid of what's to come but this summer has really reminded me how great a game is no matter how old it is. In fact I've started FF7 as well, I'm just taking my time with it.
