Dog, I might just be a dog, but I love this show. It's usually a chill delight. It continues to have a nice chemistry and mouth feel. The Silent Hill caller was suss tho and maybe could've used more scrutiny all things considered. Also, Jason's eyepatch is dope af.

@janman: Ouch, desynced pretty bad. Still a good episode.

Guy calls in and offers up some trivia regarding something that was said on the last episode, and Jess gets miffed and mentions mansplaining. Nothing against Jess but it seemed like she was taking offense at something totally innocent there.

@dijidiji: It was an engaging, positive voicemail adding on to something they talked about before. And she gets shits on them for explaining something she didn't, because she felt like she shouldn't explain it? So she's mad at them for not reading her mind? Am I getting this right? Jess is usually great, but come on.

Jess does seem to swerve into outrage suddenly while talking about pretty light-hearted things, I've noticed. Some connections are clicking in her head that don't seem obvious to us listeners, I guess.

My only experience being called boss has been Filipino guys in Hawaii, anywhere else it would seem more odd, but here I guess it's just what they do.

Ran into the same issue Jeff did with an Air BnB and the heated pool. We grabbed a place with a hot tub in Florida and had to pay for it to be heated and basically be a functional hot tub. Couldn't even pay for it cause they needed a bunch of heads up to actually do it. Swear this wasn't mentioned upfront in the listing either.

Wait, does Jeff not sit down in public places at all? You have to get over sharing butts at some point.

Anyone else find it really annoying when Jess says something like "I'm doing good", instead of "I'm doing well"? Good is an adjective, not an adverb.

Also maybe the GB crew should listen to some more chilled out UK style dubstep. I like the aggressive American style too, but there's some chill stuff out there too.

@dijidiji: Yeah, wasn't sure if I was going to comment about this but I found her reaction to that a little harsh. The mansplaining comment was just not necessary to be honest.

Also, I realize that this can be a very sensitive subject so I'm not going to comment further on it I just need to say one final thing about this: I'm sure the dude meant nothing bad about it. It really seemed like a bit of extra trivia for the audience.

There is unfortunately people out there with a toxic attitude towards the other gender, but automatically going to 'mansplaining' is also toxic... period. Not everything is mansplaining.

Anyway I'm not going to say anything more about that because it will surely be misinterpreted.

I'm sure neither Jess or the dude calling in meant any harm, it just got misinterpreted somehow and it felt wrong not to say anything about it.

Otherwise a good show and hope everyone have a killer weekend.

@castiel: In that same part, Jess mentioned that she felt like she'd be annoying if she was constantly harping on with Silent Hill trivia. I get that, but I also don't give a shit about wrestling and the lads go on about that all the time so I reckon Jess shouldn't worry about it being perceived as annoying. I don't find it annoying when they're talking wrestling, either, if anything it's kind of interesting in a way to hear people talk passionately about something I don't care about.

Jess, I too do sleep sammich to my head. Can't sleep without it!

Jess said "a lot of kids are just duds...waste of a kid." As a parent of an autistic child I hear this type of nonsense all the time. I believe she has a disabled sibling so her insensitivity is insane...

@portapoddy: yeah that felt kind of shitty. Like, I don't particularly like kids, but man. Just doesn't feel right.

I just mean that some kids are just... boring, just like how some people are boring. Cuz kids are just small people! Some people have boring hobbies, are really cliquey and don't wanna talk to anyone who isn't already their friend, stuff like that.

I'm only replying to this (and @thecoopster97 as well) in the hope that you weren't set out to interpret me in bad faith to begin with! Cuz sheesh! I've mentioned a bunch of times before (and maybe in this thing too) that kids are cool, they rock at escape rooms and are super funny and smart!

I was ready to cringe at this episode reading some of the comments cause I really do like Jess but those parts didn't seem like a big deal to me?

Edit: I'm glad my friends and I weren't the only ones who huffed card packs as kids.

Woah, i kinda enjoy the smell of candles and matches. That's not a smell i thought would have such a negative impact to some folk.

That mansplaining silent hill comment was completely uncalled for. I actually like that movie and didn’t know that info.
