God, was there really nobody there who knew that olives don't grow with the slice of red pepper inside? Because that's what pimento is. A slice of red pepper inserted after the pit has been removed.

Regarding the Pizza conversation, Italian Pizza comes from Naples and has been around for a while (since the 1800s I think?). However, it's fairly different from American pizza. Margherita pizzas are considered the "real" Italian pizza as far as I know.

Also, fun fact, Tomatoes are not native to the old world, they were brought back from the Aztecs. So prior to Europeans making contact with the Aztecs a lot of Italian cuisine as we know it did not exist.

Is it just me or is the crazy thing about Dan's oily Subway sandwiches not that he was getting oil without vinegar, but that he was getting it on a sandwich with NO VEGETABLES? The oil and vinegar are a SALAD DRESSING for the VEGETABLES. Are people putting oil and vinegar on sandwiches composed of nothing but meat and cheese and the memories of jalapeños??

One of those weird coincidences again, that I just watched an episode of Seinfield a day before listening to this, where Kramer has a whole rant about racism against dentists. Also didn’t know the actor blew his career with that crap.

I too share a lot of food opinions with Dan and have similar issues with disliking the texture of certain foods that i do generally like the taste of, but would never eat on it's own. Some tomato-sauce through the food is delicious but i wouldn't want to spend 20 minutes eating a tomato that's 100% tomato and water.
