As someone with an irrational fear of snakes Dan's tweet and the part-mentioned story about said snake is absolutely horrifying.

Quick edit: I am left-handed and use a mous with my right hand. I only.know one person who is also similarly left-handed but uses their left. Have you ever tried left-clicking with your middlefinger? Nightmare. Most of us just learn to deal with it.

As a long-time premium sub I finally had to switch to the premium feed for the Bombcast because the dynamically inserted, 3rd party advertising (pre, mid, and post-roll)--to borrow a colorful quote from bygone Bombcasts--"sucks sh*t from an ass." For real.

From the days of "Small Businessman" with Vinny and Jeff G., I've enjoyed (for lack of a better word) the host-read, in-podcast advertising... but holy shit, that dynamic, 3rd party advertising is ear cancer, which actively makes me not want to listen to content that uses it.

I know times change, things get bought and sold, and new owners can do whatever they like. But damned if I don't feel sorry for anyone listening to the "free" streams of GB podcasts, now.

Most of that dyslexic font stuff has zero research support and not even a lot of qualitative anecdata to back it up. People just felt like it would help so they said it did/does.

So I did a brief "why the heck 'glizzy'?" check and it's a strange route. Short over simplified sequence is:

• "Glizzy" became a slang for guns
• Hot dogs are about the size of extended pistol clips
• Hot dogs are now also called "glizzies"

Speaking of Dan, he hasn't been on a Bombcast in 6 weeks. He clearly still works at Giant Bomb, so what's up? More Red Ventures BS?

And Alone in the Dark playthrough when?

As a lefty, I grew up putting the mouse on the left side of every PC I've ever used. For old games, I'd just remap to the arrow keys on the keyboard or numpad. I even basically converted the rest of the family to using it that way and my parents' mouse is still set up on the left side of the PC.

@nameredacted: I don't know what you listen to podcasts on but mine's got a handy 30s skip button right on the front. You just tap that thing a few times and, like magic, the ads disappear! Don't cry for me.

@maxxcanti: Dan has been in plenty of other content, including last week's Voicemail Dump Truck. It's very likely just a coincidence.

@nameredacted: I live in Germany and you don't even want to know what kind of ads I have to listen to its ridiculous its got nothing to do with gaming or tech even :D I cringe every time because listening to podcasts in English for years all of a sudden being interrupted by "SONDERANGEBOTE" is really weird. TL;DR I agree.

It is true, Better Call Saul is one of, if not, the greatest TV shows of all time. Its entire sixth season nailed it perfectly, including the series finale. It might be the only perfect TV show.

Konami is pretty clearly a front for the Yakuza. Just look at all their other business venture like health spa and Pachinko parlors. So obviously they would be super secretive and treat their employees like shit.
