Beautiful mess of an episode, especially at the end. I wish they'd let Cave In join the call before they stopped filming, though; gotta find out which is their favorite Spock song.

Of the albums they've covered on this show, this one felt the most like Rebirth to me. The first track being the lowest quality / most deranged seemingly set the tone, but that just made the rest of each album look tame. Maybe if I hadn't heard "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" decades ago, or if this album contained the "Proud Mary" cover, I'd feel more strongly negative about it.

I don't think they've ever talked less about the actual album in an episode. I guess that means it's just boring moreso than being bad.

In talking about good Nimoy's voice is I'm surprised @diet_hellboy didn't bring up his role in Transformers: The Movie; I see that big-ass Unicron in the background.

I unironically love the Shatner Has Been album. One of the songs is even about Shatner finding his wife in the pool. The whole thing is wild! Henry Rollins is on it for some reason.
