I'm not so sure I agree with the "child labor" discussion went on this one. The comparison was about selling guitars. If I go to Guitar Center and buy a Gibson, they made money off of me for that singular purchase. If I make a hit song, they don't get any royalties and must contract with me for advertising purposes. In this case, the game company is telling the creator that not only do they not have to contract with you off of your work, but they take the majority stake in the funds. Those aren't the same situations and instead is using market saturation to soak themselves off of others labor. Not too different than the normal work world, but in this case skews heavily towards minors who can't legally enter a contract anyway. I think conversations like this will appear to have missed the big picture in the future; or the future is way more dire than I thought it would be.
