Game Mess Mornings 09/16/2022

Great to have Danielle on - always enjoyed hearing her on Waypoint Radio back in the day. Appreciate the GB team reaching out to Fanbyte people after everything that went down yesterday. That site was really cool and had a ton of talented writers and staff there, so it's a real bummer to see it almost completely canned so suddenly.

It's a shame that Auntie D's first time on Game Mess Mornings comes under such unfortunate circumstances. She's one of the big game journalism powerhouses who seems to have the worst luck with the corporate types.

Does grubb have a cue to tell guests to smile during the opening or is the kick off to this show just perfect and hits everyone in the feels?

Shoutouts to all the Fanbyte folks that lost their jobs, a simply incredible staff and voice that deserves so much better. Will absolutely be following to see where those folks land to hopefully see their voices thrive wherever they go.

Danielle is always a delight. I was so disappointed (but also happy for her) when she left Waypoint/Vice. I know she'll find another place. She's great! I would love to see her on more GB stuff. Her energy is just fantastic.

Man, Danielle is such a good guest. Totally nailed the feeling on the Phil Spencer section especially. I hope everyone who got laid off by greedy corporate assholes finds new work soon.

Danielle ist hands down one of the best people I've ever seen in the "gaming space" man, not that big of a surprise because she was at Waypoint and Waypoint people are just awesome. Sad to hear she was let go and whoever lets her go is just an idiot, sorry.
