Spoilers for Max Payne 3 Max Payne Dies at the end of Max Payne 3. They could do a prequel, though. I liked Max Payne 3, but it's not Max Payne. If You play the three games in a row (I did a couple years ago) Max Payne 1 and 2 feel like completely separate universes from Max Payne 3. Max Payne 3 is just someone saw Man on Fire and wanted to make the video game equivalent (good idea, but it's not Max Payne).

Spoiler Max Payne walks away literally into the sunset while on a tropical island at the end of Max Payne 3.

It's a really great game in that it doesn't task you with saving the world or rescuing the presidents daughter. After the intro bits, when Max hits his lowest low it becomes this amazing tale of him doing this thing for himself - trying to prove to himself more than anyone else that he can still do this. Proving that he's not just this worn out, worthless drunk. I loved that about the game because it was a personal story. Max wasn't saving the girl for her sake, he was saving her for his own sake. Of course then it turns into yet another thing, but overall real great writing. Of course like all well written stories no one ever mentions or remembers it.

I played this when it was one of the early free PS plus titles. Found it simple, until it clicked and I loved it by the end.

Jeff makes me sad with his suggestions that Cyberbots 2 wouldn't be a rad game.

You guys say Nier is too easy and that makes it feel repetitive...but I'm willing to bet you're playing on normal. Playing on hard makes it feel like a different game. I would say go play on hard but you probably wont make it past that opening segment. It bothers me because I keep hearing people say its too easy, but then they say they play on normal..... -_-. If you run around spamming and playing the game like you describe, you wouldn't last.

I think Ben said the same stuff about persona 5 recently too....

I'll go to bat forever for MAX PAYNE 3. I was happy to hear Jeff is a fan of the band HEALTH, though.

The pause wasn't that long (like a second at the most), but it sure felt like it. Brad quickly realized and tried to recover.

I'm not sure if anyone has referenced this but there's a fascinating speedrun of this by a guy with a physical disability so he does the whole thing one handed. It's amazing.

Also really love the new dynamic at both offices, things continue to look good for GB.

I really loved what I played of Vanquish back on PS3, but never got around to finishing it. May invest in the PC version to correct that or slum it waiting to see if it lands on XB1 via BC.

@humanity:I love that game. I honestly think it is crafted with love, and I think time will make people realize its importance down the line. I'm serious about that.

@joelalfaro: i agree it's a really well written game, but sadly I don't think anyone is going to turn the corner on it at this point.
