Mike Minotti is here to pass the baton to Dan Ryckert as Michael Thorton continues to travel across the globe with his favorite purple jacket.

We play the oddest game of telephone by passing the actual controller around to the whole staff and trying to get through Alpha Protocol!

Referring to someone wigging out as "cutting a promo" on someone or something is objectively fantastic

Promo is too close to the word por.. in that sentence...... :)

I think the 20% of me that's not dyslexic just woke up and said "oh no, not this again". Not a measurable thing AFAIK, but I have to re-read things often, it makes for an interesting life :D

@bogard: Trying! Although Zelda had distracted me. Had a great time with Musha though.

@tolkoto: I just started a similar journey. Deathsmiles was my first 1CC and I'm working on Mushihimesama now. But also playing Zelda now.

This a rare Dan series that loses itself on the lack of buy-in. As "Mitch" said, when do you acknowledge no one is having fun?

I think the premise is solid. Unfortunately, the reality is that the connective thread of the next man up breaks down when the next man up doesn't care.

I think with something like XCOM, it's kind of easier to see the overall state of how F'ed the world is getting as the game progresses (and maybe having the constant of General Vinny to maintain a sense of context). Here this game doesn't seem to have a good way to look back at the overall view of the world, review what "you" have done, and get a sense of how you've been progressing. It's just "ok, I guess I'm playing the next level on the list without any context."

TBH, it does feel very "Dan" because of how much he goes on about "do-y" games and completely spacing on "talky" games and completely ignoring game stories. But it's very clear that not everyone is Dan.
