I don't enjoy the hate boner for Immortality but otherwise this was a very positive stream! Which isn't usual for these awards.

Sony clearly put a lot more campaigning into this than anyone else. Stray is by all accounts a fantastic game but compared to the other Indie stuff on there...

This was a really good Game Awards, and a really fun stream!

One of my absolute favorite things in all of the universe is that we, as a society and a species, have all quietly agreed to pretend that the Muppets are real. I adore that about humanity so, so much.

Oh. And fuck yeah, new Armored Core!

@budgietheii: I also liked Stray, but like Jeff Grubb said, the only reason that game won over the others is because you play a cat. That game wasn't as good as the other indies on that list.

They should really just rename it to the Sony awards, this was awful. Even the musical act is a Sony ad.

This was super fun. Honestly, my favorite mix of the modern crew right here.

That Armored Core reveal was masterful, from the slow quiet build up to the insane robot action. It's just CG, yeah, but as a tone piece I was blown away.

But holy hell, I get some anxiety when I know someone can get played off stage at any moment. Luckily the flautist fistpump made it all ok.

I think this show really benefitted from the shorter run time. I was a bit surprised there was no major announcements from Sony/Xbox/Nintendo though.

Love watching the gang talk over this. Helped me stay on the show even during the bits I didn't care about.

Chrisopher Judge went through a lot while working on the game and got emotional when he won, so that was a great moment.

Christ. Jess' "whatever the opposite of a charm offensive is" toward Immortality is just so off-putting. Really paints an unsavory picture.

I’m definitely 100% in it for the trailers, and I feel like this show exceeded my expectations. Could not care less about who wins what, but it was funny to see a BAFTA Bait game like Immortality shut out.

In a world full of party-crashing trolls, we need more Flute Guys.

Grubb's Midnight Mass take: Anyone who knows anything about religion knows Midnight Mass is one of the worst TV shows ever made. That does not mean I wanted it to be be pro-religion; far from it. It was just ignorant, boring, and not scary.
