Giant Bomb Presents: The Power Bombcast Returns

Based on my user name, yeah, looking forward to this.

And yeah, Simon's Ups and Downs is a great way to keep up on everything without having to commit so much time. I watch that and PPV's and feel very up to date on it all.

I'm very out of the loop on a lot of the wrestling at the moment, though I've caught some of the highlights outta AEW at least. But I couldn't be happier to see this show return, because listening to people talk about wrestling might be even better than actually watching it.

For wrestling fans I would suggest watching Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanyas entrance to his defence of his champion belt in UFC 276 this weekend. It spellbound me back to the floor in front of the TV some 20+ years ago. Chilling!

Been watching AEW since it started, and have only been missing a Power Bombcast to go alongside it!

I know almost nothing about current wrestling except for passing references on Twitter, but this was such a blast. Like Grubb says at the start, hearing people talk passionately about a thing they love can be such a joy in and of itself.

I never realized how much I actually missed hearing the Power Bombcast until watching today. From what I read and heard from these guys I'm glad I didn't spend $4.99 on Money in the Bank, but I am gladly spending $60 on every AEW PPV. I attended Revolution 2020, which looking back was crazy because COVID "started" a couple weeks later, and Full Gear 2022. The Hangman/Omega tag match vs The Young Bucks was the best match I'd ever seen live, or on TV. We were all on our feet screaming our heads off for all 35 minutes. The only bummer was everyone was so exhausted for Moxley/Jericho so it didn't get the reaction it deserved.

I don't have any interest in watching wrestling and I know little about it. But for some reason, I highly enjoyed this podcast! Must just be the vibes, or something
