Here is a new commercial trailer for a ship you can buy in Star Citizen. It was made completely in 4K with the game engine and it looks really fantastic.

Also: They are now at 24 Million $ which enabled a public transportation system. The scale and content of this game gets more and more insane. I really wonder when it stops^^

The internet will blow up if this game is dissapointing when released.

Yeah the serious Pay 2 Win attitude all of the ship-buying donation stuff has going for it leads me to be rather worried.

I am pretty sure you can buy these ships also with ingame money. But that is not what you are starting with.

They're throwing a lot of balls up in the air and it remains to be seen if they can catch them all when they fall.

Its crazy that there haven't been more space sims to date and also that this type of game hasn't evolved much at all as a result; so I think maybe this game is trying to do too much in its attempt to revive the 90s.

When I start playing this game with the Oculus Rift, I don't think I'll ever take the headset off.

The worst part about Star Citizen is that we're probably not ever going to be able to create the space tech that the game glamorizes because everyone will be content with just doing it in a video game.

This game looks more compelling every time I see it.

With each new feature they announce I fear this inches closer toward the situation of the game being either game of the decade, or disappointment of the decade. I have a hard time seeing it falling into a middle ground. That said, if it delivers on all of these promises in a meaningful way I'll be all over this.

Why do those obviously belt fed mini-guns shoot laser bolts?

I hope they polish the dogfighting module to a mirror sheen before releasing it as I imagine a lot of people will make hasty judgement on the entire game's quality based on it (Even though it'll be an early alpha that represents just one of the many activities the final game will offer).
