Per this tweet from steam database - looks like they are updating the ui to be consistent across desktop, big picture mode, and mobile. Looks neat.

That looks really clean. Keeps the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" While also adding the "If it looks like it was designed before high speed internet was a thing than update it"
I don't need whole areas for comics, Movies, or Music on Steam. I guess if that's how they want to go, fine, but will be a waste for me. I think the issues with Steam are not UI so much as issues like organization and presentation.
@artisanbreads: is organization and presentation not UI?

Sure it is you could say (although it involves more) but not in what is being highlighted here so I will wait and see.
i think the only thing that bugs me usability wise is whenever i enter a search in the search bar and it auto fills reaults, if i click on one the drop down just disappearsand i have to press enter on the search to see the results (and sometimes they aren't the same as the drop down results). maybe i'm bad at steam but other than that the service itself has never really bothered me.
some of its users, on the other hand...
I just wish Steam supported screen readers. I'm legally blind and the application is impossible for me to use. If I want to look at the store at all I have to use the website. But my library is impossible to navigate.
Some kind of zoom functionality would be nice, or some way to bump up the font size a bit. I'm not legally blind, but monitor resolutions are getting higher and higher and text is getting tinier and tinier and I don't like squinting to see my monitor. "Get glasses" is a common response to this sentiment but I already have glasses.
In the meantime, if you click on "library" and look in the top right, you'll see something that says "view". You can change to different viewing modes here and the other two are a lot better for people that are having problems seeing tiny text. Still doesn't help looking at the store, which for some reason has a lot of blank space on the left and right.
