Apple Founder Steve Jobs Passes Away at 56
It was said during the live show earlier, but it's a shame that it won't ever be known what he could have done given another 15-20 years. RIP.
Jesus, that one shocked me. I thought I was misreading the title at first.
That's a damn shame, I thought when he retired recently that he could spend some years with his family, and take the time to enjoy his success.
The iPhone announcements were a coincidence right? It would be extremely crude to announce new phones the day Apple's founder dies.
Steve Jobs deserves to be commended for his remarkable ability to make people buy slightly better versions of stuff they already owned, and for creating a rabid, irrational cult of personality around the purchase and use of such products.
He also invented the modern Personal Computer with his friend Steve Wozniak and thus changed the way society and the world at large works. That too.
I am not a dedicated user of Apple products but I respect this man for being influential to his company and many other industries. Good shit Steve Jobs. Farewell.
I am genuinely shocked by this news. Had to blink a couple times to make sure I was reading it right.
Requiescat in pace, Mr. Jobs.
