    A Fun Romp!

Army of Two is a unique experience much akin to it's brother/sister game Gears of War in terms of playstyle. Army of Two is a game that carries it's own charm and for players who did enough homework on their own to know what they were getting into, this game offered an fun single or co-op run-and-gun experience with enough guns and customization mods to rival that of Arnold Schwarzenegger in COMMANDO. While this game was often written off as a "clone" it was offered up as a similar yet different experience that Gears of War by setting it in an environment more familiar to it's audience and giving the player a chance to kick some serious ass, plain and simple.

The duo of Salem and Rios is a fun brotherly romp through the war in the middle-east (and within our own government) brought on in the world of post 9/11 hysteria which changes the face of war (-privatized- war) at least to the eyes of Americans, forever. These two friends have worked together for years, the younger Salem is the "kid" of the the duo with that cocky attitude that often brings some needed hilarity to a strenuous situation while the older, Rios, is always focused on the task at hand and often shows slight signs of what a seasoned killer endures in his head from years and years of rough leg work as a veteran. The two blend well together as a team and as far as playstyles it really doesn't matter who you choose. Weapon upgrades and armor upgrades are all that really matter in terms of taking the fight to the enemy which can be earned by completing core and side quests for cold hard cash. There are several options for customization for all the guns: magazines, barrels, scopes, plates/shields, and so on. Pimping your guns for a sizable amount of cash is always an option which grants the player using said pimped weapon to increase their aggro and draw the most attention. As a whole the game is pretty damn fun and the A.I. isn't -that- terrible. I would recommend it to any fans of a third-person shooter and who haven't yet tried this one out.

A game that tries a little too hard to focus on co-op 0

Army of Two is one reminds me of one of those B-rated action movies. You have Rios, a battle-hardened soldier who looks like he's seen enough death in his lifetime, and Salem, a young spunky kid who's every other word is "bro" They start off in the army and figure out that mercenaries make a shit-load more money and apparently get to choose their own missions. This of course leads to them joining a PMC (Private Military Corporation) where they get to wear masks and pimp out their guns.  This of ...

Solo sucks. Get a buddy. 0

Unlike most people I never played this game solo. Form the offset I had a good friend rock it out with me. My friend and me share a friendship much like the one set up in the game. That said... this game is made for two players. The co-op is awesome but a tad lacking. You fell like they need to keep at it and they will have an amazing gem on there hands. That said the gun play is "ok" to say the least. Its just not as hard hitting as you would like and the guns sound a little weak. At the same p...
