Assassin's Creed: Revelations Shows Up On Facebook, Suddenly Disappears

Let the speculation on whatever crazy plot twist is coming this time begin.

Who needs magazine covers anymore? We have Facebook! Well, unless someone accidentally posts something to Facebook early, which appears to be the case with the next Assassin's Creed game.

The intrepid folks at NeoGAF--specifically, Enosh--screen captured what appears to be the first details on Assassin's Creed: Revelations. The links show a viral marketing campaign designed to unlock information on Revelations, which, despite my joke, is probably tied to an impending magazine cover.

Naturally, everything disappeared just as quickly as it arrived. What's Ubisoft have to say?

"No comment," said a company spokesperson.

Luckily, we have Assassin's Creed production manager Azaïzia Aymar answering questions about this on Twitter. Aymar isn't being secretive whatsoever, so it's possible the Facebook marketing only went live a little too early. If everything comes back online and your "Likes" are needed, I'll make sure and update.

Ubisoft already said another major Assassin's Creed was coming this year, though it's unclear whether we should be expecting another off-shoot like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood or a proper sequel. There is no three to be found here, though, suggesting the wait for that one is a little bit farther down the line.
