BioShock 2 Minerva's Den DLC Hitting Later This Month

The next and last bit of BioShock 2 DLC, Minerva's Den, is launching at the end of this month on August 31 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, according to 2K Marin. The long-awaited narrative-led content will make its debut at ten bucks on both those platforms and will presumably cost the same for Windows Live users when it hits the service at a "later date." 

Minerva's Den sounds like a sweet piece of content. It expands on the story of BioShock 2, while at the same time opens up a new area to explore (Rapture Central Computing), hands over new weapons and a new plasmid to rip up unique Splicers, and even unveils a fresh variant of the beloved and feared Big Daddy called The Lancer.

Sounds good. September is all about the DLC filled month it seems Helping replace the other wise non existent upcoming titles I've got on my wishlist.

For me that's $5 too expensive for, at best, 2 hours of content.

Steve "Hot Scoops" Gaynor of Idle Thumbs fame was the lead designer and writer on this so I'm looking forward to it.

Bioshock 2 did not have the same effect on me as the first one. I do not think ill be buying downloadable content even it its single player story element...

Steve Gaynor was a lead on this, so it should definitely be worth checking out.

Though seriously I might grab this. After the Bioshock Infinite announcement this seems even more old hat, but that is not out for 2 more years so...

damn, now i wish i didn't sell my copy of bioshock 2. that was a great game.

Why do they keep trying to cram more of this wretched game down our throats with constant DLC that usually isn't worth two cents? 2K fucked up with this game from a support standpoint, especially with PC gamers. Don't support this trash.

I think it's a bit too late for this DLC.

I still have to get to Bioshock 2 in my queue of games to play and I love it when DLC comes out before I can start playing a game.  However 10 bones sounds a bit too steep not knowing the content.  I think it should have followed the leader and charged 7.

I haven't played BioShock 2, but I might rent it or get a used copy just to buy this.  I want to see what "Hot Scoops" can pull off.  I'm expecting a real FarCry 2 fell to this add-on.

Too bad there's prolly plenty of people like me that have traded in Bioshock2 by now so soon after the release. Might still be worth looking into later but I'd rather tackle the new games I didn't get to before (mostly thanks to gamefly) instead of dipping into Rapture again for a little amount of DLC.

i will definatley get this, i loved bioshock 2 and i dont really care for the multiplayer, a single player dlc will certainly be welcome

I'm all about the single player dlc for this game.  Sounds good.

with the little sister level of BS2 I don't know how anyone can dislike the game tbh, to me everything in the second one was better I mean there is a rocket spear gun and bee traps. No doubt in my mind I'll get this dlc

I wonder if I'm the only one wishing Bioshock was a stand alone title... =/

Not interested, I've yet to really do much with bioshock 2.

I was suspicious of this game at first being an obvious cash grab, but I actually enjoyed it.  The multiplayer was actually not that bad either.  I probably won't be picking this DLC up just because there is too much other stuff to play though.

I had low expectations for Bioshock 2 but it was a surprisingly well done game. I'd love to see more single-player content for the game but seeing as I bought it on Steam I could be waiting for a while. Thanks, DICE, for destroying my confidence in PC ports.
