Big releases tend to get big limited edition bundles, so it wasn't much of a surprise when one for Konami's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow popped up on Amazon. But the image Amazon published (below) was not a final render. In fact, it's possible that the final set could include more (or less) than the two game discs, a soundtrack, and an art book Amazon's "leaked" mock up illustrated.
Speaking with Joystiq on the matter, Lords of Shadow producer David Cox suggested that the images weren't approved by the powers that be. Amazon "jumped the gun," he said. "The images of the special edition leaked onto the net are mock ups and NOT final."
Indeed. Amazon has since pulled the image of the box set, but one glaring omission had us thinking the bundle was all sorts of wrong from the get-go: it lacked a Jack-in-the-box. Konami would be wise to release one of these and hop onto what will surely eventually become this generation's Beanie Baby.
