EA Is Putting Some Dead Space Into Dragon Age II

Let the brand-synergized anachronistic crossovers continue!

EA still isn’t afraid to obliterate its game worlds with cross-promotions. Nor is Dragon Age, a franchise that boasts a deep and rich fiction, beyond the grasp of the marketing department. In the original, you could don Mass Effect "Blood Dragon" armor and purge the Blight. In Dragon Age II, you’ll be able to decimate the remnants of it with Ser Isaac of Clarke’s armor, a fun take on the Dead Space miner suit.

No, really. EA and BioWare have released a trailer showing off the Dead Space armor in the Dragon Age II engine. Notice the medieval spin that the Dragon Age devs put on it in an attempt to dampen its ridiculousness.

So, how do you get this? Buy Dead Space 2, of course! According to the Dragon Age Web site, this armor is a voucher that’s included in copies of the console versions of Dead Space 2, and they do, apparently have a expiration date: March 31, 2012, so says the fine print.

Oh, and one more thing: each piece of the armor (there’s four all together) will require high dexterity and cunning. Plan ahead if you’d like to run around with this stuff.
