Prior to the release of Ninja Theory's Enslaved, Namco Bandai said that the game's colorful and appropriately disgusting side character, the porcine Pigsy, would be given a starring role in a chunk of post-release downoadable content. Release details are still being carefully guarded, but the publisher has finally lifted the veil on what you'll be doing as the character in the optional $10 fling.
And a fling it is. In Pigsy's Perfect 10, as its called, you'll be tasked with assembling the perfect female companion from scraps of metal and debris found within the dreaded Titan Graveyard, an area that played a big role in the back half of Enslaved itself.
The word from Namco is that you won't be scurrying around this area like you did with Monkey. No, Pigsy's skill set is supposed to differ wildly from the game's main and rather fit protagonist. Instead of your arms, you'll be using Pigsy's hookshot, bombs, and other "various devices," such as the Trouble Vision eyepiece, to traverse stealthily through the graveyard. There will also be sharpshooting sections.
If you have a 3D-enabled HDTV (and who doesn't at this point, am I right?), you'll be able to "experience" this content in 3D courtesy of TriOviz technology. The three remaining standard HDTV owners on the planet will also be able to enjoy the DLC in all of its 3D glory later this fall when TriOviz's 3D eyeglasses hits stores. No word on price on these, if you were wondering.
Pigsy's Perfect 10 is still slated to be released at some point this year on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
