Epic Mickey Collector's Edition Is Pretty Messy

Because of the paint splashes. Get it? I'll be here all week.

A snazzy, paint-splashed limited-release collector's edition of Disney Epic Mickey is expected to launch alongside the plain-Jane boxed copy of the game when it hits this winter, according to Disney Interactive Studios.

The $70 bundle will include your usual collector's edition stuff: a behind-the-scenes DVD, a five-inch vinyl figure of the game's protagonist (Mickey Mouse), a copy of the game, and other video promotional materials. Notably, it will also include a Wii remote skin and a two unique Wii console skins. The latter stuff is cute because, in the game, you'll be able to "skin" or change the world with your paint. It's a tie-in!

Speaking about the set, executive VP of Disney Interactive Graham Hopper said, “We’re thrilled to roll out this Collectors’ Edition featuring so many unique items including the collectible Disney Epic Mickey figurine and content that will surprise and delight gamers and Disney fans alike." He noted that this collector's edition will "expand" players' Epic Mickey experience.

Toys R Us leaked this collector's edition prior to its announcement. In the listing, the retailer pegs Epic Mickey for a November 15 release, but Disney is still only saying Winter 2010 for now.
