Get Mass Effect 2 PC For Free With Your Purchase Of Dragon Age II

Still don’t have Mass Effect 2? Here’s an expensive way to get a free copy of the oft-acclaimed sequel: buy Dragon Age II. In a celebration ending April 30, past and present owners of any version of Dragon Age II can sign up to receive a free digital copy of Mass Effect 2 for the PC. Just head on over to Dragon Age II’s official Web site, hit the rectangular “Get Mass Effect 2 Code” link in the middle of the page, and follow the directions to claim your own.

This is all an obvious marketing stunt that trades exposure for a free game, but to hear Mass Effect and Dragon Age series creator BioWare tell it, this Mass Effect 2 giveaway is simply an effort to reward fans of Dragon Age II since the game has sold over one million copies to date.

Sorry Bioware, still not good enough of an apology for Dragon Age 2. Plus I already got this game off steam for like $5 during one of their sales.

I got this as soon as I saw the deal. Not skimping out on a free game, even without the Cerberus network. It gives me the opportunity to see how it runs on PC, while all my other playthroughs have been Xbox.

I still think a lot of the complaints about Dragon Age 2 are unwarranted, I loved the first in my brief time with it and I'm loving the second. Both on PC too.

Already had my way with Mass 2 but I'm curious to see it in a higher resolution.

I already have ME2 for the PC so it's of no use to me, pity they didn't offer DAO as an alternative if you already had ME2 i would have picked that up as i don't have the PC version of that.

Buy a mediocre game, get an amazing one for free. It would be cheaper to just pay for the amazing one.

Have ME2 on PC and xbox, need PS3 one :P  also, still need to finish it.

I've read that ME2 giveaway does include the cerebus network with a bunch of the DLC

Hey, it might not be clear, but console versions of Dragon Age 2 are eligible.  So if you have DA2 for PS3 like me you can still take advantage of this and get ME2 for PC for free, even if you already own it for 360 like me...

I think this is awesome.  If EA is going to continue to break down the barriers between the platforms, they have totally won me over.

well the point i was trying to make in my earlier post might be taken the wrong way, i meant that if you like da2 then you are a dumb person and  like games that are poop, poop from the butt.

This isnt fan appreciation… fans already own the games. This is just a sale to get people who are on the fence to buy the game. Still a really cool deal, but who does Bioware think they are fooling?

I seriously doubt they are giving the game away to boost sales of DA2; they are making sure everyone and their mother has ME2, so once ME3 comes out, that many more people will be dying to get it. Good promo.
