It's October, Clear Your Schedule

Time has a way of flying by, doesn't it? I woke up this morning and all of a sudden, it got all October on us! Man, where did that come from? It's my solemn duty to inform you that in the month of October there are some video games coming out. Not like this is anything new; if you've been keeping up with this industry for any number of years, you know October is the first full month when all those games you've been fawning over in the Sears catalog will finally be out there and available to play. (Did anyone else look at games in the big thick newsprint Sears holiday catalog as a kid? Was that just a regional thing? One screenshot and a short, misinformed blurb was all it took to sell me on the latest pile of NES garbage, let me tell you. That was pre-Nintendo Power, I think.)

Anyway, I'm getting a little worried about this month. Here are just the games I have any degree of personal interest in, to say nothing of all the other releases coming down the pipeline.

Man, I can't decide what to get...but my pick will probably be Deadspace or LBP.

Wow...so many games, so little time. I can't decide wether to buy Fallout, Fable, and LBP. Or to save one of them for later, so I have time to beat 2 before Gears comes out. Oh the decisions.

Jesus christ, this is gonna suck. I'm only about 10 hours into Tales of Vesperia and I still got Pure, Brothers in Arms, Wipeout HD and Samuri Shodown II waiting for me. I'm not ready yet, goddamnit!

October 14. Blitz: The League 2. A must-play.

What the hell?! I'm never gonna be able to play all these games!

I will be playing the two games with 3 in them.

I'm all up on Fable 2, Little Big Planet, and Fallout 3.
C&C Red Alert and Saints Row 2 are on my maybe list.

I've already got Fable 2, Fallout 3 and Saints Row 2 preordered but against my better judgement I'm considering throwing more money at Far Cry 2. To begin with I wasn't interested in it at all but the more I see and hear of it the better it sounds.

I'm glad I'm buying a PS3.

There are too many frickin' games!

OMG I want to get them on the first day they come out but there is no way I will have that much money! :(

Just pre ordered Dead Space, and I've gone this long without playing Bioshock so that is next on the list.  Oh, and Fallout 3 is my most anticipated game this year, so this is a big month alright.  I'm just waiting on an announcement for Fallout 3 and trophies, because for that game you want them to be working from the very start.

I'll be picking up Dead Space, Fable 2, LittleBigPlanet  and Fallout 3.

I'll be renting Far Cry 2, Saints Row 2, Dead Space, Fallout 3, and LittleBigPlanet for sure.

WOW I realize this is gonna be an insane month too, Brad. I mean, consider the ramifications of my Senior year, when what could be the top 3 games for the PC in several years are coming out AT THE SAME TIME.

Wow Brad, that thing you mentioned about the Sears catalog brought back a flood of childhood memories of when christmas was still awesome. At the time I was looking for lego sets and RC cars but still essentially the same experience.

And to top it all off rock band 1 is being realised October 31 in NZ and Australia. Im getinng rock band, Fable II ,Fallout 3 and maybe Saints Row 2 if it gets good reviews a week to each game lol.

You forgot the PS3 version of Rock Band 2 on October 19th! Woooooooo!

From the 19th to the 28th is a very expensive time with: RB2, Far Cry 2, Littlebigplanet, and Fallout 3. I was going to wait to buy Far Cry 2 and Fall out 3 later but I'm going to get them right away.

I agree with the Fable, Far Cry, LBP day. I figured I'd get Fable and Far Cry but wait for LBP. I'll definitely have to wait until fable is over to get Fallout. I'll probably get that one during summertime next year when there's nothing coming out (hopefully nothing)

Thankfully I don't have a ps3, so much as Iwant Little Big Planet I can't get it. Have preordered Fallout 3 though, and desperately want Fable II and Dead Space. Yay October!

There's only like 1 and a half games on that list that I have any interest in.  I'll be fine for October.

October is finally the month where you cannot say the PS3 doesn't have any games anymore.

Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 for me. Dead Space is still up in the air. (likely an impulse buy at some point.)

Only games I've bought with my own money was Grim Fandango when it first came out and StarCraft: Brood War, hehe.

Not honestly excited about any of them. I'll probably demo C&C for the PC depending on the system requirements though.
Versus a PC and a Wii, 360 controls for the most part feel... lame. Live keeps me coming back for more and more though, but just for select games none of which make it on that list.
