OK, So Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom Is Coming Stateside After All

Capcom has confirmed this licensing nightmare of a Wii fighting game is in fact hitting the U.S.

Hey, you can't say we're not topical around here. Just hours, perhaps even minutes, after we took a quick look at Capcom's Japan-only Wii fighting game Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes--in which we supposed that the game would probably never make it to the U.S. due to messy licensing issues with its cavalcade of anime characters--word began to appear online via some Nintendo Power scans that the game might in fact make it to North American shores after all.

No more "might" about it. In an "Oh heck, our news leaked we must act now!" sort of move, Capcom went ahead and said "Yep!" on its official Unity blog this morning. The name is changing to Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars, but otherwise this seems like the same wild four-button Versus game that pits Morrigan against a gigantic robot, among other matchups.

If you weren't already aware, here's why the game is nuts.

Capcom says to expect a more official announcement with further details on this release closer to E3.
