This might just be me, but as many times as I laughed while playing Comic Jumper, 'Splosion Man has far and away been Twisted Pixel's best playing game so far. You can rightfully understand why I might be a tad jazzed for Ms. 'Splosion Man--and the early co-op beta that Twisted Pixel's announced.
"This type of testing doesn’t happen often in XBLA," said the company on its blog last night, "so we are very excited to be one of the studios to be able to bring this to you."
10,000 players will have a chance to gain access to several player maps--two per week, starting June 6 and ending on June 26. Signing up doesn't guarantee access, naturally, but 10,000 slots means your chances are probably pretty good. If you're going to sign up, though, Twisted Pixel wants you to play.
"The point of this early access program is to gain your feedback on how we can better your online gaming experience, so speak up," the company said. "Your voice will be heard and feedback taken into consideration."
I know how upset I was at myself while playing 'Splosion Man's more challenging stages, so I can't imagine the language that'd come vomiting out of my mouth with a friend. Should be rad.
