Resident Evil: Revelations Coming to Almost Every Other Platform

I just finished chapter 9 on the 3ds game.... I don't think it's worth 50 bucks. I enjoy how this scratches that Code Veronica itch, so glad I paid 20 for this on 3ds. Really nice graphics for the small screen.

I'm pleased to hear it, had a great time playing through this on 3DS. it deserves the big screen treatment.

I wish it came with a circle pad pro for the 360. Seriously though, get this game, best RE game in a long while.

You can make the argument that Patrick has a weird fetish for games in which males kill zombies and/or other males, but c'mon. It’s different when it’s a woman, this is over the line, and Edward Carnby should have known better.

There's no reason this shouldn't be full price. Anyone who takes issue with that is a poop.

Excellent, very interested to see this when it hits PC. I can't fault Capcom's renewed approach to PC ports. Nice.

If you missed out on Resident Evil: Revelations because it was a 3DS exclusive, Capcom’s taking that excuse off the table.

I assume you mean good in a "for a Resident Evil game" sense. Because I own the game and at most it's OK. It does not even touch good when compared to most games in the third person shooter and even survival horror genre these days.

Too bad it wasn't come to Vita, I would've bought it on that. I'm sure in a couple months it will be cheaper on PS3 anyway. I'll wait until then.

Underrated. Really good game in my opinion, and was glossed over way too much when it was released. After Resident Evil 6 and that other RE game I think people appreciate how good Revelations was in many ways.

Yup, it's worth picking up. Like the article says, Revelations is a way better game than RE6. It's got the scares, the claustrophobic feel, the tension, the puzzle elements and the horror.

This game is actually very good, glad to see a nice HD version heading to all of the other platforms after a good while. Especially since we can have a good console RE game after the stinky blunder of RE6.

Umm, whatever. I cannot be upset this is happening, I have not dog in this fight. I haven't really liked/enjoyed a RE games since the PS2 days. Even before something like Day Z existed, about six years ago, I thought Resident Evil should have become an open world, serious and thoughtfully crafted story of survival. So, I have never understood the doubling-down of weirdness and melodrama that Capcom (or most Japanese developers) have pursued. I really dislike melodrama. I really have become disinterested in characters that chew the scenery every time they appear or stories that intentionally make no sense. Yet like I said I have no dog in this fight. Some people seem to enjoy these games, but it appears less and less do every time.

At this point, all I wonder if it will feel like a 'real game' on the bigger consoles. Will the graphics "fit" or will they look like handheld graphics on a big HDTV? I only wonder about that from a technical standpoint, do they have a way to make the game meant for a smaller screen work on a bigger screen? If they do that is interesting form a technical standpoint.

The sad part is that I'll probably buy it.

You get to play as Hunk? It's sad that impressionable young people are exposed to dangerous drugs through video games.

Hmmm...interesting. Had this hit around RE6. Id have bitten but now there are other better games to spend my money on.

I think so, though I couldn't say for sure. I do know that there's portions of the game where you're on the own, most commonly as Jill on the boat. I think Chris' chapters pretty much always have him paired with Jessica, though.

Hopefully someone else who's actually completed the thing could offer some more insight, like @GunstarRed for example :P

I think there were a few parts where Jessica and Chris split up. It's hard to remember, because the AI partner isn't really useful enough to rely on when they are there, so you're usually fighting everything yourself either way.

That's what I figured, that they're only there purely for narrative purposes, sorta like when Ada tags with Leon in RE2. Though thinking back, Ada was surprisingly competent in helping you fend off the zombies and spiders in the sewers...

Rather they occasionally give you an invincible AI companion than saddling you with another Sheva across the entire game in any case. I'm one of the few who thought Sheva's AI was surprisingly reliable as well, so as long as you stuck her with a machine gun and a sniper. But her constant companionship took away the feeling of solitude that I loved about Resident Evil, and I'm just glad that Revelations will give me a little more of that.

This is actually a solid entry in the franchise and way better than RE6. I was happy to hear more people will play it now.

You lost me at "Resident Evil".

Very cool. Too expensive for me to double dip but it is coming out for PC so I know the price will be right at some point.

All I can say is, hell yeah! Where's our hd remake of the three originals??

Would it really have taken that much effort to put it on Vita?

I bought a 3DS for this game and it was great. Don't know if I will play it again on the 360 though.

The days of the Capcom exclusive are over, one less reason for me to buy a 3DS then I guess.

This game was great and loved it on the 3DS. Didn't finish it (Gamefly) and I'm glad I waited to buy it. I would much rather play this on a bigger screen. I imagine the Wii U version could be pretty awesome.

Ok, yeah, sure. I would be interested in getting this at some point down the line.

Sure, I'm in. Heard good things about it and after the trainwrecks that were RE6 and Operation Raccoon City (can't decide which is worst), I could use a decent Resident Evil game.

@DeF: I don't know about that. I would much rather play an atmospheric horror-ish game on a big screen with the lights off and all that jazz. Not laying back on the couch trying to comfortably fit my hands around a 3DS or something like that.

But to each his own. Also, even if this game doesn't get redone textures, it will at least be in a higher resolution so we can really make out that shiny Jill booty.
