Hello everyone and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, @zombiepie, am honored to be your host this week. We have plenty of hilarious and wonderful works of art this week, as well as well-composed works of writing. Additionally, for those of you who didn't check out the previous Spotlight, there are TWO Giant Bomb-themed charity opportunities. The first is detailed in the housekeeping, and the other has its own section. Last week, someone reached out to me on how to support one of those efforts if they didn't have the financial resources to donate. If that's you, please spread the word through whatever social media channels you have at your disposal. It really does help. So, without further ado, let's talk about the site related housekeeping.
- Drew's Bike MS page has raised $7,956.01 for multiple sclerosis research! If you have yet to donate, here's a link to his page, and many thanks to those who have already donated!
- Emails asking users if they are interested in receiving the Giant Bomb newsletter should have been sent out this week. It should have looked something like this:
Extra-Life 2018 - Can't Stop Won't Stop Doing It for the Kids
Don't forget, Giant Bomb's 2018 Extra-Life team is actively recruiting members RIGHT NOW! The team is already eight pages deep and has raised $3,532, but feel free to join NOW or spread the word.
Get every possible detail you could possibly need on Matt's Extra-Life thread. Check out the FAQ if you do not understand how to join the team, or how you can help. Feel free to use the thread to link to your donation page!
If you know you can join the effort, feel free to add yourself to the team RIGHT NOW! The team has already raised over $4,140, but new members would be greatly appreciated!
Giant Bomb Galleria
bloomtodecay made a 3D modeled Ranking of Fighters themed arcade cabinet plus some retro-styled advertising posters worth checking out! And that start screen in the banner above is absolutely stunning stuff.
DecoyOctopusX had some time to kill and decided to make a poster for Jan's fabled "Jan N' Juice" morning show/video series. Whether the feature is real or not is irrelevant, this poster is baller.
Now that's what I call brand synergy! Giant Bomb user FoolInjection combined the Giant Bomb and CBS logos, and this was the result! Use the link to thank them for their work.
For those of you playing Forza Horizon 4, there's a Giant Bomb community club called "[BOMB] Giant Bomb," and it's the one accepting up to 2000 members with the shield (club) icon, not the H icon!
