Has anyone made a clip of Jeff's UPF talk about lying down on his back and have D-horse shit on his face?

.... I need it for archival purposes.

That vice article was great to read. Austin had the exact same reaction to Ryan's passing as my husband and I did. We were sad (and I cried like a baby, I'm not ashamed) and it was really hard to explain to those around us just why we were mourning over a guy nether of us had ever met. Everyone did a great job with content and articles as always =) Thank you for all your hard work, and thanks for this spotlight! I love reading/watching these.

@naoiko: @ch3burashka: @mlarrabee: Yeah, I had no idea that article existed. I saw the forum thread that mentioned a Vice article about Giant Bomb, and just thought "who cares" and moved on; glad it got mentioned here. It's really interesting to read. It's a pity they didn't talk more about Patrick - he seemed to really struggle with the news (I remember that his dad died exactly a year earlier).

Is it a bummer that everyone else but Drew was mentioned in that article about Giantbomb?

The Vice piece on Giant Bomb was really good. I started listening to the site around April 2013, so a lot of how I knew Ryan came later on. Watching Turboman's Best Of videos, listening to random old podcasts, old GOTY discussions, etc.

I haven't been here since the beginning and I didn't know The Gang from the Gamespot days, but I sincerely miss Ryan. I would also say the current state of the site is the best I've seen. I would say a third of that is because of Dan, Jason, and Austin joining the site, another third because of the New York office, and the last with just people trying out new stuff (Metal Gear Scanlon, Danswers, Mario Party Party, Playdates, etc.) I know it must be difficult to talk about, but I'm fascinated with some of the behind the scenes stuff with the site. It was good to hear what people were going through during that time.

On the lighter side of things, thanks for featuring my MGSV blog! :D

I did a artistic take on Lil' Wayne as a playable character in mass effect. Something Jeff and Dan talked "in-depth" about in THPS5 quick look.

The Vice article was beautiful and really reminded me why I love being a part of this community, despite not being a user for long. It for sure feels like family and I've felt welcome since day 1.

Also Brad-Kun will haunt my dreams.

Thanks for mentioning my review this week. The artwork of Jeff being sad about Tony Hawk 5 just makes me more bummed out that it turned out this way. Since super happy Jeff doing a benihana would have been amusing too.

@blacklagoon Vita list has been a good way to keep tabs on the games coming out each month. Like Farming Simulator 16, I can't believe that sold enough on vita that they are putting another one out. Although I'm more surprised by Code Realize:Guardian of Rebirth coming out over here.

Reading that article was cathartic. I've only been coming to Giant Bomb for a couple years -- I'd only just figured out which voice was Ryan's around the time of his wedding. What followed was spooky -- I've never really been a fan of anything before, and caring seriously about the loss of someone I'd never met felt strange.

I've been listening to the old Bombcasts now, on my long night shifts. I'm up to Game-of-the-Year 2011, and every time Ryan says, "This podcast is over," some echo of my Catholic upbringing makes me want to reply, "Go in peace."

So thanks guys, for doing what you do. And go in peace.
