Want to know what the view is like on a trip to E3? Wonder no more!
We made it! Drew and I just finished setting up our little pillow fort in the hotel room, complete with $20,000 worth of computer gear. It's always uncomfortable rolling up to a bellhop with 400lbs of gear and a smile. It's definitely less stuff than we've traveled with in the past, but it still feels like I'm setting up some kind of covert operation with the intent of hacking into, and taking over, an airport on Christmas.
The drive was notable for my first In-N-Out Burger experience. I got myself a Double Double (Animal Style) and it was delicious. I'm glad to finally have taken the plunge, as my previous In-N-Out experience had consisted of quotes from the Big Lebowski.
Anyway, here are some shots from the road, if anybody is interested in knowing what the trip to L.A. from San Francisco looks like out of a car window. As you can see, there's really not much going on, although I was able to snap the following quick photo, which in my opinion, could blow the doors off of E3...
The transports look less purple up close.
I'm definitely in the mood for some E3 now, and I can't wait until things start in earnest tomorrow. But for now, here's some more goodness from the drive.
