Thursday Night Throwdown 10/27: Battlefield 3

We've got a dedicated, 64-player ranked server running Battlefield 3 for the PC, courtesy of Rolyatkcinmai and AhmadMetallic from the Giant Bomb community, and we'll be pushing it to the limit on tonight's Thursday Night Throwdown! We start at 4PM Pacific Time, so if you want in, join the Giant Bomb / Tested - US NYC 64 #chan server, or just search for "Giant Bomb" in the Battlefield 3 server browser. Expect a lot of Conquest mode, though if Rush is more your thing, user JackColt has been so kind as to set up a 32-player overflow server called JackColt's GiantBomb Community BF3.

If the way our Battlefield: Bad Company 2 TNT played out is any indication of how things are going to go tonight...well, let's just say 50 Cent would be proud.

Officially, OFFICIALLY official.

Bad Company 2 is still probably the best TNT ever, followed closely by Uncharted 2. Hopefully Battlefield 3 lives up to the HAIYP.

Should hopefully be good. The BC2 TNT and BF3 mutliplayer quicklook are pretty funny. 
Is Jeff still at a event thingy? Would be a shame if he isn't playing

I dislike BF3, but if they stick to maps with vehicles only it should be a good bombcast. I really hope they don't play it on the 360.

Holy shit, GB really going at it. I'd have never believed that there is going to be a PC TNT of a multiplatform game.

Just please remember to tell your game server provider to either have punkbuster off or updated to the latest version - I and many updated our PB earlier today and as a result we can't join current PB servers because their server files haven't been updated yet..

Vehicles makes everything better. Helicopters by themselves is already too great.

I for one find Ryan's wishy washy stance on Helicopters appalling. Fucking hypocrite!
