I am a big proponent for new and innovation and change (and other liberal values). Therefore, I'm getting kind of tired of getting the same-old 18th century England from Lionhead. I want to see them do something else, the obvious setting (for me) being a future, something in the same vein as Mass Effect.
Looks like Fable II, indeed. I wasn't expecting the visual style to change much, but I was hoping some screens would show a drastically new direction in gameplay, at least. They did not.
....like a bunch of broken promises where a fart is just as likely as a dance to sway the opinion of every NPC. Oh yeah and there's bound to be a pet who's utterly forgettable. Can't wait for the talking endgame action.
So it looks like Fable, good. And it obviously looks better than Fable 2, come on people. Now we just have to wait and see how Molyneux is supposed to piss us off.
It's pretty crazy that all I can think about when I see Fable mentioned these days is Peter Molyneux's balls.
Anyway....... I'm looking forward to information that will get me excited about this game. So far, tossing around children with Natal doesn't sound like the biggest hook. And as much as I liked Fable II, I'm going to need something drastically different gameplay-wise.
Looks just like the fable 2 concept art that I thought seemed really cool. I have VERY low expectations for Fable 3, I hope to god they impress me, but until I hear them say there is actually a lot of customization, rather than 5 sets as well as 2 player co-op involving both players characters, I remain deeply skeptic.
Fable II turned me into a jaded, cynical old man when it comes to big releases. Molyneux disappointed me once; I will not give him the opportunity again. *sobs*.
Looks like more fable. Though, Fable 2 looked pretty bad when it was first shown off and it improved considerably. Maybe this is the case here as well.
As long as: 1. The dog does something like attack instead of dig up filthy condoms from the fucking ground. 2. Lets me FIGHT an actual boss like in Fable 1/The lost chapters instead of pressing the damn A button. 3. Has a better online /co-op that lets you have your OWN DAMN SCREEN and can have more than 2 people 4. Has a better variety of weapons and cooler looking ones like ONCE AGAIN Fable 1
I will be all for it. I love the Fable series, but honestly, I want improvements not stupid added features like the "touch" button. Starting to thing Molyneux is chansing the Purple Dragon a TAD too much.
"wot ef da skoi rained peppa mint spwinkos?...brillant"
Not really my cup of tea as it looks pretty similar to Fable 2. Fable 2 wasn't bad but it wasn't great and I stopped playing it the second Fallout 3 came out (which was like a couple weeks after Fable 2 if i remember right)....
I'm not gonna fall for this shit again. I've been disappointed two times now by Peter Molyneux. Fable never lives up to even half of the stuff he promises.
