i know i'll get flack for this but i still haven't finished uncharted, only 39% through GTA IV and never played past the tutorial of splinter cell on the old xbox



oh and nearly all the DVD's i buy i never tend to watch, i buy far too many from work then just never bother with them.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and a few ratchet games I think.

I bought MGS 4 and never played it. That is still bugging me.

There are plenty of games I haven't played, which is why I don't buy them til I have the chance to. I understand as reviewers you guys have less time to play games for pleasure, something I figured out firsthand when I started doing reviews earlier this year. Still, I can't ever recall buying a game and not playing it.

Now not finishing a game I bought...that's another story.

KOTOR Jeff?! Really?! That was one of the best Original Xbox titles.

Bought S.TA.L.K.E.R. and never opened it.

MLB 08: The Show and Tron 2.0 are the only ones I can think of where I bought physical games and never played them.  I've got Super Mario RPG and Castlevania 4 on Virtual Console and haven't loaded them up, though I have played a fair chunk of both in the past.  There's also Yakuza, which I played once.  I want to play that again, but just haven't found time.  But there's a couple dozen games I've played a lot but never got around to finishing (and actually want to finish).  These include FFXII, Eternal Darkness, GTAIV, Assassins Creed, Bully, and so on.

I have a few games that are unplayed, mostly because I bought them off gamefly for like 9 bucks.  Those games are just on the back burner until I can finish Fallout 3, Starwars, Fable2 etc...

Gears of War for the PC. Got given it and put it on the shelf.

Not one unopened game, every game i buy, i play, pretty much cus i only buy what i really want to play...ha, logic y'all

I am the most guilty of this.  I have roughly 70 PC games I got on sale and never played.  Beyond Good and Evil was 1.99, you can pass that up but I never got past installing it.  Of the console game I even still have 3DO games in the shrink-wrap that I have yet to play and don't get me started on DVDs.  I would estimate at least 100 DVDs I have yet to view.  

And that's just the stuff we could come up with off the tops of our heads. I've also got no shortage of PSN, Virtual Console, and XBLA games that I've never bothered loading up. Don't judge me!

I can honestly say I've never bought a game I didn't play. However, I've bought more than my fair share that I never finished--hell, I've bought a few in recent years I barely played for more than a few minutes before selling.

I recently counted about 30 games on my shelf I either haven't played or having beaten, but as for games I haven't opened yet:
Jak I - 3, all 4 Ratchet & Clank PS2 games, Shadow of the Colossus, Silent Hill 2 & 3, LoTR: Return of the King, Zone of Enders, Beyond Good & Evil, Psychonauts, God Hand, Battalion Wars, Uncharted, FFI, II, V VI, XII, Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, RE: Code Veronica.

There's some more, but that's a good majority.

I tend not to buy games unless i know i'm going to like it.... but... i have bought quite a few DVD's that were so bad i honestly cant remember why or when i bought them.

Hahahah awesome, ive got a few games. Oblivion being one. As for DVDs ive got quite alot of unwatched ones + boxsets. The unopened? Zelda OOT would go for haeps on ebay :O

Oh gosh Ryan I probably have $75 worth of PSN and Xbox lives games I haven't played yet if you wanna bring downloadable games into the mix. I'm such a wasteful American...

In general though, I play mostly every game I buy to completion.

That i can remember. KOTOR and Mass Effect. So now that i've thought about it, i think i'll be giving Fallout 3 a miss after all.

This has never happened to me.  It might be because I have a relatively small collection of about 75 games.  It might sound like a lot, but this took years.

Super Mario Galaxy?!?! You guys are nuts! That game is my pick for the most refined, purely enjoyable gameplay experience of recent years. You absolutely, positively MUST give it at least a whirl, come hell or high water.

Metroid Prime until just a few days ago. I normally open up games, play a smidge, and then go with life. I have a HUGE pile of games that I've only played for a few minutes or an hour.

Many games that I have bought but only played for like an hour... Deus Ex: Invisible War (PC), Painkiller: Battle out of Hell, C&C Red Alert 2, Dune 2000, Recoil, Unreal, Unreal II just loads of cheap PC games really.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for me. Got it over the summer and never played it.  Also, I'll have Fallout 3, MGS4,  and GeoW2 waiting unopened, but only because I'm at school right now.
