Your Unopened Game Pile of Shame

I don't have any "unopened" games.  Tthere have been plenty of  games I played once and always meant to get back to:
Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Knights of the Old Republic, Devil May Cry, and Metal Gear Solid just to name a few.  Time gets short especially this time of year...

I can understand you four not getting round to playing certain games, but I don't get how anyone else would simply buy a game then to never play it. Unbelievable.

None. I don't have a single unopened game. I think the longest a game never got opened in my household was... 24 hours? 48?

At the moment my only unplayed game is Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Mostly because I bought it and then realised I didn't want it >_<;

Suikoden V is the one I haven't played yet that comes to mind. I bought it last December and haven't even thought about opening it yet.

Both Brad and Jeff haven't opened Galaxy!?! WEAK.

The only game I haven't opened is the Superman Returns. Mostly because it might unleash 1000 evils upon the world if I do. Oh, and Gran Turismo 4

I have a copy of Sega Superstars Tennis that I got with my new 360.  I have a feeling I won't by opening it soon.

This isn't counting the shit I've actually unsealed and dropped in the console for a couple of minutes to check out, then never went back to. And fuck me - this list scarily points to frivilous spending on my part!

Anyway I am shamed to say I have played Oot at a friend's along with Majora's Mask yet never finished them myself. I will also admit I never played a FF game *crys* well I played FFX but only at a friends and unfortuantely loved it. I really need a PS2!

Check my list that Brad plaigerized (sp) from me, making the list actually motivated me to take Otogi off it, it's awesome.

I don't have any "unopened" games, as in protective plastic still in place, but I do have one game which I bought then never played. I downloaded the demo of it when it was available, played through it and liked it, bought the game the day after it was released, then never had the chance to devote the requisite attention to it. The game? Patapon.

im poor, so i can't afford to buy random games and just leave on the shelf untouched so everygame i bought so far has been opened and played. I say you guys should do some giveaways for some of those games

Far Cry, well sorta, on my old computer it didn't work well, and then I played 5min of it once I got my new PC so I think that counts.

No, I have none that I've not opened nor played. This goes back to my point that game costs should scale to the local cost of living. If they weren't so expensive, my poor ass would buy games on impulse some times instead of careful calculation. For those that say I should find a less expensive hobby: try to understand the issue or stop breathing.

I've opened every game I've ever bought within 24 hours. The only game I can remember not playing the day I bought it is Eternal Sonata, and that's only because I got The Orange Box at the same time.

Oh and Jeff, I can't say I blame you for not playing NFS: Pro Street.

Im just as horrible. I have alot of game to play ,but that because i havent bought those games yet. Amongst games i own,hmm a few. MOstly crappy games , that i got bored of within half an hour.

how hard is it to atleast open the game. I guess game reviewers buy soo many games ,so that understandable ,but the average gamer,.....why woudnt you open your game........unless you plan on selling it for a high price in the future. I only buy games i think il play, or are so dirt cheap (like less than 4$ in th bin) then i can understand.

I haven't opened my copy of GTA IV that I got as a graduation present last June. I still need to beat GTA San Andreas

No unopened...I always open my games as soon as I buy them...I don't even understand how that could happen.  There might be a few that I haven't played since the first day I got them though.

Not only do I have games I haven't played - XBox games that I bought for $5 after the 360 had been out for a year - I have games that have taken me frickin' for-EVER to play.  

Own and have never played:

Splinter Cell (XBox)

Rainbow Six 3 (XBox)

GTA San Andreas (XBox) - I'll never play this one.  I am totally not into the whole gangster/drugs/murder/prostitution thing.  Sue me.

Deus Ex Invisible War (XBox) - this one I will play.  Eventually.

James Bond 007 - Everything and Nothing (XBox)

There are probably more.  Now, for the 360 -

Bioshock.  I've been playing it for a year.  Really.  A year.  I'm on vacation now, and after a marathon eight hours or so today, I'm about halfway through.  I might even finish it up tomorrow.  

Obliviion - I had the PC version.  Didn't finish it.  I bought the 360 version.  Haven't finished it.  I start, don't play for awhile, come back, can't remember what the hell I was doing, and start over.

There are more.  This could go on forever.  Here's the thing: I love games, but I go through very long periods where I don't play at all.  Then I go through periods (usually coinciding with the release of a game I really want) where all I want to do is play games.   Dunno - that's just how I roll.

now, to be honest, i have opened these games but havent touched them.  a few i have played the first level or so, and just didnt play it since then.  most of them i traded for and just didnt care enough to put in.

I've opened all of my games. The only one I haven't played yet is Marvel Ultimate Alliance. There are tons of games I have never finished though.

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. I have honest-to-God played EVERYTHING else I've ever bought. I mean, come on. Why wouldn't you?
