Overview
Ash using her head.Ashly is the co-writer/creator and co-star of the web series "Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'?" (HAWP) along with her brother Anthony Burch. In 2011, she played the lead role in the independent film "Must Come Down." In Fall 2011, she graduated from the Media Arts & Culture department at Occidental College in L.A. with a senior thesis on the female experience of a phallocentric narrative through a qualitative study of Red Dead Redemption.
She's a long time video game aficionado who piles up dead bodies of loved ones to save the life of her dog in Fable 2 and loves cool stuff like Doctor Who, Firefly and Arrested Development. Also, poop jokes.
Her first game credit was for voicing the character of Tiny Tina in Borderlands 2, a game written by her brother.
Nintendolaaand!Random trivia fact: Ash came up with an idea for a real-life Nintendoland amusement park in the December 15, 2010 episode of the HAWPcast which then got turned into an episode of HAWP that aired on May 13, 2011 and ended with a plea to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, read out in Japanese by Ash herself, to make that crazy idea a reality. A year later, at E3 2012, Nintendo announced NintendoLand, a video game for Wii U. Eyebrows have been raised. Jokes have been made. It obviously worked! Totally.
According to her website, in 2012, Ashly Burch worked at Valve as a contracted writer on Team Fortress 2. So far, she has confirmed to have wet herself, met Gaben's knife collection and Gabe Newell himself. In that order.
In December 2013 Ashly, her brother Anthony, and her father were released as Homies in additional DLC for the game Saints Row 4.
