So they released a patch that comes out today and tomorrow for those on PC. It basically gives you access to all the locked chests that were needed to be opened by the app, as well as other unlockable things that were only available if you had the app.

• Fixed issue with Arno losing control after trying to launch Initiates from the pause menu
• Fixed minor navigation issues

Menus and HUD

• Fixed issues occurring when hacking gears
• Fixed additional issues with notifications

World & 3D

• Fixed some minor FX and texture issues

Sweet. Now instead of being a bland, offensive game, it's just bland.

And this coming from the one fucking dude (or so it seemed) who was actually enjoying this game.

It's a gem to run around in for a half hour here or there but my gosh playing this game is a real test of will for me. Can't do it anymore!

I did hear that free DLC was Ok so maybe I'll check it out one day. Still installed at least, so that bodes somewhat well.

That's good news, I guess. I completely stopped playing it shortly after it came out because I wanted to let them finish with their round of patches but I don't really have much interest in going back to it right now. It is a gorgeous game but I have so much open-world fatigue right now.

Too little too late. If they had done this within the first month it might have made a difference on public opinion, but now? Who cares.

Can't wait for the patch where they take out Uplay. And the patch where they put back in competitive multiplayer. And the patch where they add in memorable protagonists and villains.
