Distinct from the Arcade and Genesis versions, Strider for the NES features a more complex, Metroid-style structure, where Hiryu gains abilities throughout the game that grant access to new areas. The story draws heavily from the Strider manga.
Strider is an arcade action side-scroller, and one of Capcom's first big hits for the Sega Genesis console.
