They don't have to honor that price. A lot of stuff is done digitally now, and that means a lot more room for human error. In the old days, a store would probably be more obligated to honor an accidentally lowered price, but not anymore.

Eh, AC3 looks good. You have to make the distinction between annual Call of Duty and annual Assassin's Creed (if this is what your thinking about). Go watch videos of it, it's looks fantastic.

I remember Walmart had a similar screw-up with prices where they refused to honor the sales price and just cancelled everyone's order instead, so no.

Just keep in mind AC3 have been in development for close to 3 years when its released. Its not jsut another one of those.

I say if you don't want to buy a game don't. But not buying the game that does the most new things in years then sends a pretty bad message. Especially if you like the games.

Why not buy this one! and next year don't buy assassins creed 3 Retribution/revengence/return of the king/revival/random noun

Agreed Assassins Creed III does look awesome hopefully it's just different enough to keep me playing. Assassins Creed II was a massive step up from Assassins Creed I but Brotherhood and Revelations just seem to copy Assassins Creed I. Arguably Brotherhood and Revelations are practically indistinguishable from each other apart from a few minor changes. Also I hope the tree climbing is as easy as they make it look!

It probably is true, I have all confidence in that ACIII will become a GOTY contender, hopefully. Preordered for Xbox 360 actually.
