Since they announced the sequel I've wanted to get back into this one and finish it, but I wanted to know if they've fixed that irritating bug with the outfits yet, the one where no matter what colour you have the standard outfit dyed, it always shows up in the default white and blue in cutscenes. It always just sucked all the immersion right out of the game, which is rather a problem with an open world game.

I don't think that was a bug. It was more of a stupid design choice.

It's not really a bug, it's a technical limitation. The game uses higher quality models for cutscenes, which only share a few textures with the gameplay models - you can see it, since the outline of the coat changes color.
