    So I own the PC version of Assassin'c Creed that I got off Steam for a great $10, at first I was skeptical but hell, those were some well spent $10. Now, don't get me wrong, by the title of this blog post it looks like i hate this game but on the contrary, I really like this game, what it does it does really well. The only gripe I would have to it, besides the other technical hops I had to jump through detailed in my forum post dedicated to making the game run as it should, is the act of congress you have to go through to exit the game. Check it, I even wrote down all of the steps youy have to get through to get back to the desktop:

    • Exit the Memory
    • Exit the Animus
    • Press Esc to Exit the "game"
    • "Are you sure" Screen
    • Takes you back to title screen, "Press any key"
    • Select profile
    • Exit Game
    • "Are you sure" Screen

    As you can see, there is about 6 steps too many for this process. It frustrates me sometimes but heck, its a pretty good game so im willing to let this go, sometimes.

    Do the 360 versions have this issue too?

    Obviously not since you could just hit the eject disc or return to dashboard button and get it off.

    No, the other versions do not have this issue.  But by the end of the experience, your biggest gripe will most likely be repetitiveness and awful endgame.

    you could hit alt-F4 to get out really fast. As long as the game doesnt save on exit, that should work fine.

    lo ok i comepletely forgot about Alt-F4, although it does save when you exit so i guess it would be minimized to about 3 steps...

    Yeah, Although I dont really have a problem with it, I do already notice its repetitiveness.

    @darkgoth678:

    Yeah, its the same thing over and over, until the end which sucks worse than the repetitiveness imo.  Though it looks like Ubi took that criticism to heart for AC2 and seem to be making some major improvements on the sequel.

    hitting alt+F4 brings it too a absolute stop. in fact its one of the fastest games to exit that way, gta4 still took like 10 seconds.
