Among some of the weirdest news this week, maybe this year, comes a gaming annoucement from Hollywood. Yes, another game's being made into a movie, not usually something to be excited about, but considering that the game in question is Asteroids, that's a rather strange bombshell.
Yes, Asteroids, the 1979 arcade shooter, is being made into a movie. This is almost as bad as the Sims movie concept. Ok, maybe this one's worse.
There to provide the story will be Mario Lopez, a man who has written scripts for movies such as Bedtime Stories and Race to Witch Mountain.
Here's hoping it's true to the original story. Oh wait.
