Along with the Persona Music FES 2013 that happened earlier today, Katsura Hashino wrote a blog post hinting at several announcements next year in celebration for Atlus' 25th anniversary as well as apologizing for any troubles the Index Bankruptcy might have caused for their fans:

I’m sorry for the concerns caused by the recent circumstances, and I apologize. Next year is set to bring many announcements as part of the 25th anniversary of the Atlus brand, but there are a few things I’d like to share before that. All the unannounced titles we are working on are “under zealous development”. The challenge, for the time being, is how good they will be. We have spent days full of problems and worries, but we work strenuously so that it doesn’t break our focus.

Looks like the values of games have become very diverse nowadays, but as long as we continue to think about you that love our games, about the creativity, the know-how accumulated, the challenges and the expectation of results, I believe that the future of the series will be something great, full of fun and stimulating.

One of these games in active development planned for announcement in 2014 is probably Persona 5, right?

@fluxwavez: Has to be! And I am kinda hoping it's for next-gen, selling my PS3 after I'm done with GTA V and would hate to miss out like I've had to for Persona 4 (thank god for Golden).

HELL YES, Persona 3 Platinum on PS3/360/Vita, Persona 5 on PS2

Hope this means they are doing better now. Atlus is one of the few publishers i can really get behind. That and Deep Silver wich is basically Europe's Atlus. ;-)

@peritus: Atlus was never the one in trouble, it was their parent company. Nothing has really changed yet on that end.

Trying so hard to not get my hopes up for Persona 5 and I am failing miserably.

Man, if you told me back when P5 was psuedo-announced that we wouldn't hear any actual details until 2014, I would call you crazy.

Am I a bad person for being more interested in a potential P4 Arena 2 than a P5? I really want to know where that story goes.

Damnit Atlus stop teasing and blueballing and just show something already.

P5 would be nice and has been a long time coming, but after spending so much time with SMT IV recently I think I would be most hyped for something like Etrian Odyssey HD or a new Trauma Team. Maybe even something totally new like Trauma was and Catherine. I am excited either way!
