    Overview

FC Barcelona is a professional football club from Barcelona, Spain; it is among the best and most popular football teams in the world.

It was founded in 1899 by Swiss national Hans Gamper, after puting an advertisement on a local newspaper wanting to organise some football matches. After several people showed interest, the first meeting was held at a gimnasium. Today, the club is still completely owned and operated by its suporters. The club´s motto "més que un club" (more than a club) makes reference to the club's position as a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism.

They appear on many Football games such as the FIFA and Pro Evolution series, as well as Football Management games such as Football Manager and Championship Manager. Since FC Barcelona is a multidisciplinary club, its baskebtall and handball sections have also been featured in videogames.

Some of the best players ever have played for Barcelona, like Ladislao Kubala, Luis Suárez, Johann Cruyff, Diego Armando Maradona, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Xavi Hernández, Andrés Iniesta, Lionel Messi.
