So, I was going for a high score on Rumble in the Jungle Extreme, or any challenge in general. You get a perfect run on round 1, and then the enemies in the subsequent rounds are just way smarter, they almost seem programmed to sabotage your score, they are never as coordinated when just playing regularly. Maybe it's just because you're paranoid when going for score, but the enemies seem ridiculously coordinated whenever your score is high or maybe they are infact meant to behave different depending on your moves.

Batman: Arkham Asylum puts you behind the cowl of the iconic Dark Knight, fighting his way through Arkham Asylum to stop the Joker from enacting a sinister plot that would have grave consequences for Gotham City.
I hate it when this happens.
" Do you mean the combat challenges or the stealth ones too? I found the stealth ones very tough due to the lack of being able to beat dudes up :) I really love the fighting system, it feels like more like a rhythmn game than actually fighting. "I found the sneak sneak ones easy. But the fighting ones were way too difficult for me.
Must have played some of the rounds about 50 times each to get the achievements. Funnily enough it didn't seem that bad when I did get it. Glad I don't have to do it again, though. It's been some months now, but I remember using the YB combo a lot because nobody can block it and because it gives you time to look around. Instead of jumping over or blinding dudes I would just YB them.
I found the fighting challenges significantly easier than the stealth ones (though, they didn't pose too much a challenge either once I realized to spend a couple of tries just hanging back and watching the guards movements to actually co-ordinate a plan of attack). I just sort of zoned out and followed the rhythm for the combat challenges (S rank, baby).
I have no idea (other than straight-up cheating) how some of those motherfuckers at the top of the leaderboards get the scores that they do. Seems mind-boggling. Closest I ever got to the top was within the top 100 or so for Sewer Bat Extreme and the top guys had my score beat by leagues and leagues.
(that was quite a while ago though).
Yeah the fighting challenges were pretty tough, but incredibly satisfying as well. I still remember how I got my platinum... I was playing the "Shock and Awe" on extreme, had enough points to pass the stage... final round, clock's ticking... I had like 2 seconds left and I still had to beat Zsasz... so BAM! I hit circle and triangle and BROKE THE MOFO'S ARM AT 0:00 SECONDS!!!
Man, what an awesome game.
I hate when I'm playing it on PC and I'm either at a really hard or annoying part in the game (like Poison Ivy's boss fight) and then the game pauses and logs out, saying "SOMEONE HAS LOGGED INTO YOUR ACCOUNT ON ANOTHER MACHINE. RETURNING TO MAIN MENU AND NOT SAVING AND THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT. HAVE A GOOD DAY AND F*CK YOU"
Then I find out my girlfriend in on Netflix on my Xbox.
I hate Games for Windows Live.
I really lacked the patience to get really good at the stealth ones, some of the videos I've seen are completely nuts though. Some challenges that took me over 6 minutes can be done in 30 seconds, its crazy.
