    PC controls/combo problem?

    Playing the PC version and I find that when using shift + left or right mouse button they sometimes work and sometimes don't. I get a combo of 5, pull of a move (by simply using shift and whichever mouse button and it snaps to them) but when I try doing it again Batman will go into aiming mode (when I use the right mouse button) is this because I am not close enough to someone or that I have to pull off an extra x5 combo every time I want to use something?
